My name is Selena Stewart and I teach 8th grade History for the Film And Media Magnet. I have been part of the King family since 2001!
I am originally from Connecticut and attended Central Connecticut State University where I obtained my teaching degree in Social Sciences. In 2006, I went through the rigorous process of earning my National Board Certification. Then, I attended Cal State Los Angeles where I earned a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction and my thesis focused on the impact of technology in the classroom.
I am very excited to be integrating filmmaking into my curriculum and I strongly believe in the interpersonal as well as academic skills that it develops in our students.
