Introduction

Hello! I am a 7th Grade Science/Health teacher at Thomas Starr King Middle School Film & Media Magnet. I've been teaching for over 26 years (since 1995), and I consider myself lucky to be in this profession.
 
I hold a Bachelors Degree in Biology and a Minor in Chemistry from Long Beach State University. I also hold a teaching credential in Biological Sciences and Health Sciences with a CLAD emphasis from National University. I've always been fascinated with Science, especially with the diverse living things on Earth, from microscopic organisms to extinct organisms. The wonders of DNA and the role it plays in species. The process of scientific investigation and discovery is quite thrilling. Science is always changing through technological advancements and I can't wait to see what the future holds.

My other interests include playing basketball, video games, collecting sports memorabilia, and working-out. I’m an avid Lakers fan, so I try to go to at least 20 games per year. I'm also a fan of the Dodgers, LA Kings, and Oakland Raiders.
