KING'S BEST MILE RUNNERS

The 2nd Annual Invitational Mile Run for the best 6th, 7th and 8th grade mile runners was held on Wednesday June 8 during periods 1, 2 and 3. Each of the 8 Physical Education teachers selected their top 10 boy and girl runners from the 6th, 7th and 8th grade. From this list, the top 10 runners from each grade level and gender were selected. Each participant received a medal for his or her participation. Listed here are the first three places for each grade level. Eighth grade boys: 1st place, Diego Campos 5:39, 2nd place Jason Wu 5:44, 3rd place Kevin Guevarra 5:54. Eighth grade girls: Delia Palacios 6:59, Jackie Nunez 7:15, Alex Serrano 7:16 finished first, second and third respectively. The seventh graders also had some excellent times. Steve Barillas 7:29 1st place, Adrian Rayguza 7:39 2nd place and Alan Khumaard 7:43 3rd place. Seventh grade girls times were 1st Migdal Garcia 7:03, 2nd Malorie Parungao 7:20 and 3rd Evelyn Molina 7:26. The sixth graders showed a little nervousness but still did very well in their run. Sixth grade boys: 1st Gustavo Galindo 7:00, 2nd Matthew Zetino 7:02 and 3rd place Heriberto Gastellum 7:08. Sixth grade girls: 1st Justine Minetter 7:07, 2nd Guadalupe DeLosSantos 7:09 and 3rd Joana Wu 7:11. Congratulations to all of the participants.
