Bring the lesson of Wall Street to your classroom. The Spring 2008 version of the educational, interesting and standards-aligned FREE Stock Market game and contest is sponsored by the Los Angeles Daily News .
Grades 4-12 teams of 3-5 students will invest a virtual $100,000 in stocks and mutual funds during the the 15 or 10 week spring game window. Transactions will be completed online in real time during the game.
Participation the game will help students manage money and learn investing skills. The game reinforces skills and concepts in math, business, language arts, social studies and personal finance.
Top ranked teams in the grade level divisions of 4-6, 7-8 and 9-12 will prizes and recognitions at the conclusion of the game. One Grand Prize will be awarded to the top team and teacher in the state for each grade level division.
