Last school year one of King Middle School’s own Animation students, Brandon Tu, had his mural design 'Dream Again' approved by the city of Los Angeles. This school year, with the assistance of Metro Gallery and community activist Peter Bedard, we will be able to realize Brandon's vision for a mural. The mural to be located at the Myra Underpass, will be the third in the series.
We need the support of all segments of the school community to work on the project. We need volunteers to come and make this mural a reality this Saturday, October 6, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
If you are interested in joining this community project, please come wearing clothes that can get a little dirty and possibly covered with paint. We will meet in front of our school on Fountain Avenue at 10:50 a.m. We will walk to the area at the Myra Underpass where the mural will be created.
Please join in on the fun and work of creating a piece of art for the community.
