Attached please find information about the new instructional calendar for all schools that the District has developed for 2011-2012. This is a DRAFT calendar that has not yet been approved by the School Board. Opinions are being solicited from staff, students and parents.
Under the new "Early Start" instructional calendar the new school year would start on August 15, 2011 and end on June 1, 2012.
A copy of the proposed calendar is taped on to the counter in the main office, and is available on-line by following the directions in the attached information sheet.
As a point of clarification, my understanding is that the “spring exams” that the flyer refers to are AP exams, not CST exams. The CST window will still be comprised of the 10 days before and 10 days after the day on which 85 percent of the instructional year is completed.
